Heading to 2018 NFL season we present our OL ranking
Dallas Cowboys always have a strong offensive line. This year will not be diferent, they are still in the top 10 of the nation and have the one of the youngest of the league. Tyron Smith, Connor Williams, Travis Frederick, Zack Martin and La’El Collins. Keep this strong OL will be a key for success or at least to repeat the 2016 version of the Cowboys, with n always competitive division, OL will try to open spaces for a strong running game and to protect Dak Prescott.
The super bowl champions made it there because of his strong Ofensive and defensive lines. The expected starters are Jason Peters, Stefen Wisniewski, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson. According to Shaoun O´Hara NFL Analyst Offensive Line helped phily offense finish third in scoring, third in rushing, fifth in plays of at least 20 yards and first in red-zone offense.
New England Patriots made it to the super bowl, they lost it, however they had a strong offensive line that allowed them to run the ball with diferent RB and protect Tom Brady. For next season there are interesting facts in the Offensive Line. According to Patriotswire Marcus Cannon is the only player who is a sure-thing to start for the next two years, almost certainly at right tackle.David Andrews, who has a contract through the next three seasons, is a team captain and a valued member of the offensive line. Shaq Mason figures to be the starter in 2018, but will likely earn a massive contract in free agency, and figures to out-earn what the patriots are willing to pay. Ini the left tackle postion may be Rookie Isaiah Wynn, Trent Brown, Antonio Garcia or Cole Croston. Only time will tell.
New Orleans Saints
New Orleans, after an important 2017 season and in 2018 things are looking good for the Saints. All five starters are under contract for next season. The question is if Zach Strief will return for another season. Bringing him back would give New Orleans a swing tackle – whether it be Ramczyk or Strief as the top reserve – which would help in the event of an injury. If Strief doesn’t come back, this could be an area the team looks to address.
The line should continue to be a strength for the Saints in a competitive division.
The Atlanta Falcons had an acceptable 2017 season, they overcome that terrible loss in superbowl LI. In an always competiive NFC south, the Falcons were wildcard in playoffs and beat the LA Rams. However, they were eliminated by the champions, the Eagles. According to ProFootballFocus The Atlanta Falcons offensive line was ranked as 2nd. Center Alex Mack and tackles Jake Matthews and Ryan Schraeder were the top performers on the line.
And there is no doubt that Falcons offensive line is to be considered in 2018.
