Last top RB picks have made important performances in recent years. Names like Leonard Forunette, Ezekiel Elliot, Christian Mc Caffrey. They made their teams improve and be competitive, and have shown that even with a strong OL, runners must be good. Here we introduce the best RB available in the NFL Draft 2018. Probably only 2 of them will be selected in the first round due to the teams needs. However, they are really good players.

Saquon Barkley- Penn State

Expeceted to be top 5  pick in the first round of the NFL Draft 2018, a verasile and strong runner. He is expected to land in the Giants or the Cleveland Browns. He may imrpove most poor running offense in the league. He is good in the backfield and the slot position. According to his NFL draft profile he is compact frame carries muscular, powerful trunk, High tempo runner with urgent underpinnings as his core, offensive lineman’s best friend with talent to dismiss penetration with deft footwork. Same reports indicates some weaknesses. Has bouts with focus drops as pass catcher and his catch radius is limited and  inconsistent at take-on blocks in pass protection.

Ronald Jones  II – USC

Out of USC, , finishing in the top ten nationally in rushing yards (1,550) and rushing touchdowns (19) on 261 carries.  According to his NFL draft profile Jones is a classic slasher with the wiggle and explosiveness to elude open-field tacklers and then burst to chunks of yardage. Jones was a much more assertive runner in 2017 and improved upon areas of improvement from the 2016 season. Jones also has the ability to turn into a much more dangerous pass-catcher than we saw at USC.

Expected spots to land: Redskins.

Derrius Guice – LSU

Derrius Guice covered the position when Leonard Fournette went to the Jacksonville Jaguars in LSU.  Started 11 of 12 games played, receiving second-team All-SEC notice after rushing for 1,251 yards and 11 touchdowns on 237 carries (18 receptions, 124 yards, two touchdowns receiving). According to his NFL Profile he is a well built combining powerful lower body with good overall size, has a combination of speed, power and balance. However, staying healthy in 2017  was an issue and his production decay in 2017 and also he needs to be more decisive through the line of scrimmage as a pro He is expeceted to land in the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Nick Chubb – Georgia

Chubb finished his career strong, starting 14 games, leading the national runner-up Bulldogs with 1,345 yards on the ground, and scoring 15 times on 223 carries (plus four receptions, 30 yards receiving) . Chubb could become an average NFL starter, but his lack of third down value may end up hurting his draft stock.

Sony Michael – Georgia

In the same backfield, Michel is a well-built, no-nonsense runner who is able to combine vision, burst, and physicality. While he can make open field cuts to find additional yardage, his running style is more angular in nature and he thrives when playing north-sout. However, NFL draft profile states that his iopen field balance is inconsistent, he plays with aging bull mentality in short yardage and needs to improve his feel for finding creases.
