In LFA week 2, the Mayas visited the Dinos in the northern city of Saltillo in a re match of Tazon Mexico II . Both teams faced terrible loses in week 1. The Dinos vs Fundidores and Mayas vs Raptors. So, they were looking forward to archieve their first W in the season. The Mayas made it in a back and forth game, they took the day in an 11 point comeback in 4th quarter.

Fortunately for Mayas Omar Cojolum RB #1 was back after one game suspension. He had 3 rushing TD, also, he scored the TD pf the lead in 4th Q . This allowed Mayas to take the victory despite their mistakes. In the other hand, QB Marco García threw only a pass TD to #81, Josue Martinez and had 2 interceptions in the first half, he was benched. No.2 QB Jose Luis Canales took his placed, but was intercepted for a pick six. At the end of the day Marco García came back and made that 11 point comeback needed by Mayas for the win.

In the other side the Dinos showed an improvement since week 1, were they were unable to score a single point. Mata Charles QB #18 rookie out of Autenticos Tigres de Nuevo Leon showed some highlights, and eventhoug he did not play the entire game. His arm seem promising for further games.

In the defensive side the Dinos have made some improvment, specially defending the passing game. Even Mayas Coach, Enrique Alfaro stated after the game that Dinos defense force them to run the ball instead of passing. And the leader in that secondary defense José Alfonsin, #32 DB had an outstanding game, intercepting twice to the two diferent QB and returning one for TD.

Now the scenario for the Dinos seems uphill , since they have a complicated calendar and a strong division. Next week they recieve Mexicas (2-0), and in the following week they visit the Raptors (2-0).

The Mayas are now 1-1, in second place of their division, just behind the Mexicas (2-0), followed by the Condors in last place. Mayas will have their opportunity back at home when facing irregular Condors; a team with such pottencial nevertheless with few results.
